We all worked hard and in the end secured ten yes votes, one voting present and one voting no.

The Chairman of the committee told us that all of his members received many phone calls and emails on this issue, and there is no doubt that this made a big difference.

The Cardinal, and many of the Bishops, also became personally involved, calling all the members of the committee and asking for their support. There is still a long way to go, but this was a significant step, we have momentum.

We are in the process now of working on a larger number of members and developing our strategy to get it out of the House and to the Senate. After today, the House will be out until after the March 19th primary, so we have time. Thank you for all of your help. If you can continue to be involved, write thank you letters to the committee members and then write or call your individual Reps and Senators! , and the leadership, and ask them for their support of House Bill 4077 as it goes forward.
