SVDP Food Drive.
What does it mean: Help Us, Help Others.
St. Vincent de Paul Food (SVDP) Pantry at St. Florian feeds approximately 100 families or 400 hundred people each month, which includes a lot of children. Our donations of food, the poor boxes in church, and food from the Food Depository help feed those less fortunate than us.
Still, there are some things that SVDP must purchase each month because they are not available from the Food Depository. Items such as soap, toilet paper, diapers, and even such food items as peanut butter and jelly!
In keeping with our Baptismal call to help the needy. St. Florian School will be collecting some of the items SVDP must buy. We will be collecting a different item each month. By your contribution you "Help Us Help Others"

National Contest:
During the months of March and April a national contest will be held to see which school can collect the most canned foods. Winners are determined by number of students in the school and how much they collect. This means even a small school can win! The winning school can win as much as $1,000! This means that your canned goods donations during March and April will not only help St. Vincent de Paul, it wil also help St. Florian School! More information will follow as the contest date grows near.
