St. Florian School      Adopt - A - Platoon

THEY NEED YOUR HELP.

St. Florian School has adopted three U.S. Army units currently serving in Iraq. The three units include a platoon of seventeen in an Infantry battalion, a seven members artillery unit, and a combat medic team with an additional seven soldiers.

We have already sent one set of packages to the units. Each flat rate box cost $7.70 to send. We are in the process of sending more items the soldiers have requested. These items include:

  • dry-erase markers
  • all types of batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, 9 volt)
  • map markers (water soluble sanford markers)
  • thick boot socks (new)
  • antibacterial wipes (individually wrapped packs)
  • bars of soap
  • DVDs
  • music CDs
  • snack items.
  • board games.
  • and your letters

Note: large containers of baby wipes or large bottles of shampoo will not fit in the mailing boxes. Neither will large board games.

If you are interested in donating any of these items or making a cash donation to defray the cost of postage, please contact School office during the day at (773) 646-2868 or drop off your donation at the school.
